Marshal Kim Jong Un Gives Field Guidance to Stock-breeding Farm
Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, provided field guidance to the Combined Stock-breeding Farm in Ungok Area.
He was accompanied by Choe Ryong Hae, Hyon Chol Hae, Kim Pyong Ho and Hwang Pyong So.
He first looked round the beef cattle breeding farm, paying interest to the production of cattle of good breed.
Second leg of his guidance was a pig breeding farm.
Seeing round the farm built in specific style, he asked in detail about breeding of pigs.
The main thing in stock-breeding is to secure cattle of good breed and their fine features must be preserved and improved, he emphasized.
Then, he went to the goat house.
He spoke about the need to acclimatize goats and sheep of good stock high-grade strain to our peculiar conditions in a bid to increase meat production.
Noting the importance of fodder supply, he spoke about creating a vast expanse of grass fields.
Watching fodder-crushers and mixtures, he called for updating all process of fodder production.
He also dropped in at the Institute for Domestic Animals of Good Breed.
To put stock-breeding on a scientific and industrial basis, much efforts must be directed to intensifying scientific research, he said, appealing to conduct strict veterinary and anti-epizootic work and ceaselessly improve management of technical equipment while enhancing the technical abilities of employees.
He put forward important tasks that should serve as the guideline in running the stock-breeding farm.
