Das Datum 25.10.1950 als Zeitpunkt des chinesischen Kriegseintritts wird von dem österreichischen Autor Rolf Steininger in dessen Buch "Der vergessene Krieg - Korea 1950 - 1953" bestätigt (dort auf Seite 77). Das reich bebilderte Buch bietet die m.W. bisher einzige ausführliche Gesamtdarstellung des Koreakrieges in deutscher Sprache (jedoch z.B. hinsichtlich des Kriegsbeginns übernimmt der Autor die "westliche Sicht", wonach Nordkorea den Süden angegriffen haben soll. Aber: In Pyongyang können Dokumente eingesehen werden, die das Gegenteil belegen.)
Zum Kriegseintritt der Chinesen heißt es in der (nordkoreanischen) Publikation "Korea in the 20th Century":
"In late October 1950, the Chinese people organized volunteers under the motto, "Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, Protect Our Homes and Defend Our Motherland" and sent them to the Korean front.
The Korean People´s Army units, in close coordination with the Chinese People´s Volunteers units, launched counteroffensives to completely liberate enemy-held areas in the northern half of Korea by the end of that year and advanced to the areas south of the 38th parallel."
