Flower Blooming in Snow (2011)
The Korean Film Studio produced a new feature film "Flower Blooming in Snow".
The film is based on a real life story that General Secretary Kim Jong Il praised a woman manager in Jagang Province, who contributed to bringing a factory back online and devoted her all to the work for the country's future, and put her forward as a model of the era.
In Sun, the main character of the film, was appointed as the manager of a factory that went dormant during the Arduous March. She arouses its employees to the drive to implement the behests of President Kim Il Sung.
Busy as she was as an official in charge of the factory, she looks after children of deceased machinists and let them take the place of their mothers.
The employees, touched by her sincerity, turn out to convert a small local industrial factory into the base of light industry conducive to the prosperity of country.
