Educational Units Visited by Kim Il Sung

President Kim Il Sung visited at least 170 educational units for field guidance more than 480 times to the last days of his life from the early days after the country's liberation. Over 40 higher education units were visited by him nearly 170 times and 120 primary and secondary schools more than 190 times.
He made long journeys to those places, be it northern most areas, out-of-
the-way mountain hamlets, seaside villages and villages along the Military Demarcation Line.
Since his first visit to Changdok school in Chilgol in October 1945, his visit to the educational institutions never ceased to the last days of his glorious life.
Thanks to his loving care, Mangyongdae Revolutionary School was built for the children of revolutionary martyrs and the first university was also erected. Thus the Korean younger generation was given a vast opportunity to prepare themselves as reliable talents equipped with knowledge, virtues and sound bodies. Even in the days of the Fatherland Liberation War he visited many educational units including Kim Il Sung University. In this course, Korea saw the appearance of factory colleges, the first of its kind in history.
The President advanced "The Theses on Socialist Education", an integrated system embracing the Juche-oriented idea, theory and method of education as a whole.
