Park Geun Hye′s Trumpeting about Settlement of 'Nuclear Issue' Rebuked: News Analyst
Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- Election commitments made by the "presidential candidate" from the "Saenuri Party" Park Geun Hye regarding the "policy toward the north" have aroused denunciation from broad segments of south Koreans.
"Measure for settling the north's nuclear issue" suggested by her has drawn censure and derision as it revealed her ignorance of the essence of the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula and her sordid design to escalate confrontation with fellow countrymen.
In the commitments she tried to make the public convince that the nuclear issue on the peninsula was caused by the nuclear weapons of the DPRK.
The U.S. has amassed huge nuclear weapons in south Korea and has posed threats to the DPRK. But Park took issue with the DPRK's possession of nuclear weapons for self-defence only, disclosing her ignorance of the elementary causal sequence.
The U.S. is a main architect of the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula. The Korean nation has been exposed to the danger of a nuclear war by the U.S. This has been clearly proved by history and reality.
Therefore, it is essential to remove the U.S. nuclear threats and have its hostile policy toward the DPRK rectified for a solution to the nuclear issue.
But indifferent to this stark truth, she called for extending "deterrent" from the U.S. for the settlement of the "north's nuclear issue", stressing that this settlement should precede the promotion of peace mechanism. This is sophism aimed at escalating confrontation.

She even talked nonsense that the world without nuclear weapons can be realized with "the north's dismantlement of its nuclear program as a starting point."
This groundless logic aims at increasing the U.S. nuclear threats backed by the extended "deterrence" and at forcing the fellow countrymen to disarm nuclear weapons unilaterally. This sophism can be made only by a person steeped in sycophancy toward the U.S. and confrontation with the fellow countrymen, who seeks the toppling of the social system in the DPRK.
Park's theory of the "north's dismantlement of its nuclear program first" is just an extension of traitor Lee Myung Bak's watchwords of "no nukes, opening and 3 000 dollars" which reflected his anti-DPRK policy for confrontation.
Park claimed that only when the DPRK shows sincerity in scrapping its nukes first, improving "human rights performance" and opting for "reform" and "opening", can the south opt for "economic cooperation". This reveals her scenario for an all-out confrontation with the DPRK which is more dangerous than Lee's policy for confrontation with fellow countrymen.
