The Rungra People's Pleasure Ground , a monumental creation, is built on Rungra Islet in the Taedong River in Pyongyang on the occasion of the 59th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
It consists of a dolphin-aquarium, a wading pool, recreation grounds and a mini-golf course.
Leader Kim Jong Il paid special attention to construction of the pleasure ground and Kim Jong Un devoted much of his efforts and loving care to its construction. It is indeed an aggregation of their warm love for the people and an eternal wealth of socialism.
A grand ceremony for completion of the pleasure ground took place on the spot on July 25.
Welcome music was struck up as the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un and his wife Ri Sol Ju appeared there.
All participants warmly welcomed them, cheering "Hurrah!"
A soldier builder and a woman worker presented bouquets to him.
He was accompanied by Kim Yong Nam, Choe Yong Rim, Choe Ryong Hae, Kim Kyong Hui, Kim Jong Gak, Jang Song Thaek, Kim Yong Chun, Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok, Yang Hyong Sop, Kang Sok Ju, Kim Won Hong, Kim Yang Gon, Kim Yong Il, Kim Phyong Hae, Mun Kyong Dok, Kwak Pom Gi, Ro Tu Chol, Ri Pyong Sam, other officials of the bodies of the Party, armed forces and power, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, soldier builders, working people and youth and children in the city.
Also there were diplomatic envoys, representatives of international organs, charge d' affairs ad interim of foreign countries in Pyongyang and their wives.
Kim Yong Nam, Choe Yong Rim and Choe Ryong Hae cut the ribbon of completion of the pleasure ground.
Kim Jong Un waved back to the cheering people.
Marshal Kim Jong Un and his wife Ri Sol Ju went round the pleasure ground together with senior officials of the Party and state and foreigners. Looking round different facilities, he said the people visiting there will be provided with all conveniences.
Kim Jong Un and his wife, together with foreign missions, enjoyed the performance of dolphins.
After seeing the performance, foreigners extended greetings of best wishes to Marshal Kim Jong Un and his wife Ri Sol Ju. They shook hands with foreigners and their wives, and talked with them in an amicable and friendly atmosphere.
After going round the mini-golf course Kim Jong Un arrived in the Rungra Wading Pool. He was greatly satisfied to see all the facilities of the pool including playing pond and shower room.
Marshal Kim Jong Un said: "Ours are the finest people in the world; they have all along been supporting our Party, going through all trials. It is the will of the Party to make our people enjoy all our socialist wealth and glory to the full."
He instructed officials that the pleasure ground should always be under good management.
