Local Soccer Tournament Ends
Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- Super football league matches ran in Pyongyang from May 5 to June 4 as part of the Sports Contest for Pochonbo Torch Prize. It involved 10 men's teams and 7 women's teams.
Rimyongsu men's team and Amnokgang women's team finished first in the tournament, with nine matches, six wins and three draws and six matches, four wins and two defeats respectively.
April 25 men's and women's teams had been widely believed to be winners in view of their previous records and capabilities. Both teams won the titles in the super football league of the National Sports Festival for Mangyongdae Prize. The women's team, in particular, won most of the 10 round-robin rounds held from the year 2010.
Sobaeksu men's and women's teams came second in the league matches.
