National Meeting Marks Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Election as General Secretary of WPK

All the party members, army men and working people pay their highest respect to leader Kim Jong Il on the 15th anniversary of his election as the general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea.
A national meeting to mark the occasion was held at the April 25 House of Culture on October 7.
There was a portrait of Kim Jong Il against the background of the Party flag.
Participating at the meeting were officials of the party, armed forces and power bodies, public organizations, ministries and national institutions, servicepersons of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, officials of the organs of science, education, literature and art and media, labor innovators and other working people.
Supreme Commander of the KPA Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the WPK and first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, appeared at the tribune of honor.
Also there were Kim Yong Nam, Choe Yong Rim, Choe Ryong Hae, Hyon Yong Chol, Kim Kyong Hui, Kim Jong Gak, Jang Song Thaek, Pak To Chun, Kim Kuk Thae, Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok, other leading officials, Kim Yong Dae, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Social Democratic Party, officials of the organs of the party, armed forces and power bodies, public organizations, ministries and national institutions and persons of distinguished services.
The participants observed a silent tribute to the memory of Kim Jong Il.
Kim Ki Nam, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, made a report.
The participants expressed their will to venerate Kim Jong Il as an eternal leader of the party and revolution and dynamically carry out the revolutionary cause of Juche for its final victory under the leadership of WPK headed by Kim Jong Un.
