Nach einer Auswertung gibt es per Anfang 2012 ca. 350 joint ventures in Nordkorea, wobei die Mehrzahl ca. 205 mit Firmen aus China geschlossen wurden. Die Öffnung des Wirtschaftssektors hat schon angefangen.
Die Spitze mit ca. 43 Gründungen war in 2006.
