1,000-ri (400km) journey for national liberation
#1
Zum 85. Jahrestag der "1000-ri Reise für die nationale Befreiung" schreiben in diesen Tagen die in der DVR Korea:

Kim Il Sung's Cause Carried Forward

Eighty-five years ago, President Kim Il Sung embarked on a 1,000-ri (400km) journey for national liberation in his teens.

The historic journey led to heralding the dawn of national liberation from the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule and providing the origin of the revolutionary cause of Juche.

More than half of the journey was little different from pathless track.

In particular, the route from Kanggye to Huchang (then) was exposed to wild beasts even in the daytime.

However, the President continued the journey through primitive forests with a firm determination to avenge his father and the Korean people upon the Japanese imperialists for their occupation of the country.

He arrived at Phophyong ferry on February 3, Juche 14 (1925), thirteen days after he left his native place, Mangyongdae. He took a view of his fatherland and then of a foreign land across the river with bitter grief and sorrow.

Then he moved toward the foreign land, singing the "Song of the River Amnok" with a grim resolve not to return home until Korea became independent.

True to that day's resolve, he led the anti-Japanese armed struggle to victory and accomplished the historic cause of the country's liberation.

The glorious history of the Korean revolution is unthinkable without his immortal feats.

The revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered by the President has been carried forward under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.

1,000-ri Journey Study Group Visit Revolutionary Site

Pyongyang, February 5, 2008 (KCNA) -- School youth and children from across the country participating in the study tour for tracing the course of the 1,000-ri journey for national liberation visited the Phophyong Revolutionary Site on February 4 on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the 1,000-ri journey for national liberation made by President Kim Il Sung and the 35th anniversary of the study tour to trace its course initiated by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Phophyong is associated with the immortal exploits performed by the President and the great footprints of members of his revolutionary family in Mangyongdae.

They went round the Phophyong Ferry which tells the story about the historical day the President crossed the River Amnok.

They also visited the Monument to the "Song of the River Amnok", the Phophyong Church, the Evening School Run in the House of the man from Hamgyong Province, the Phophyong Noodle House, the Phophyong Police Substation, Apgang Inn and other places. Then they looked round historic relics and materials on display in the Phophyong Revolutionary Museum.

Study Tour for 1,000-ri Journey Comes to End

Pyongyang, February 4, 2008 (KCNA) -- The study tour for tracing the course of the 1,000-ri journey for national liberation made up of school youth and children from across the country came to a successful end. It was sponsored to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the 1,000-ri journey for national liberation made by President Kim Il Sung and the 35th anniversary of the study tour to trace its course initiated by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

The members of the study tour group for tracing the course left Mangyongdae on January 22 and arrived in Phophyong on February 3.

Phophyong is the historic place where the President made his firm pledge not to return home unless Korea became independent in his teens before crossing the River Amnok.

Upon its arrival a meeting took place in front of the statue of the President standing there.

A report was made by Ham Kwang Chol, secretary of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, to be followed by speeches.

They referred to the fact that Kim Jong Il paid deep attention to the study tour and showed such deep trust and loving care as letting even a plane fly to bring the gifts associated with his benevolence to the members of the study tour group, though he was busy making endless forced march despite blizzards from the outset of the year.

The school youth and children are faced with an honorable task to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche generation after generation under his revolutionary Songun leadership, they noted.

They called upon them to prepare themselves as patriots in the Songun era who reliably defend and glorify the socialist country, firmly trusting and following Kim Jong Il only.

They underscored the need for them to study harder and take more active part in their organizational life just as they had vowed through the study tour in order to stoutly grow up to be pillars who will shoulder upon themselves the future of the Songun country.

Gutes Hintergrundwissen zur 1000-Ri Reise des jungen Kim Il-Sung von Mangyongdae nach Badaogou (in China) bietet seine Autobiographie "Within the century":

(und zwar folgende 2 Kapitel)

http://www.uriminzokkiri.com/Newspaper/e...htm/36.htm

Phophyong ...
