Pyongyang, February 16,
2001 (KCNA) -- Leader Kim Jong Il received a floral
basket from President of Syria Bashar al Assad, General Secretary of the
Arab Socialist Baath Party and commander-in-chief of the army and armed forces,
on the occasion of his birthday. The floral basket was conveyed to an official
concerned by charge d'affaires ad interim of the Syrian ambassador here Haissam
Saad on February 15.
