Reception at Palestinian Embassy

    Pyongyang, February 11, 2004 (KCNA)-- Shaher Mohammed Abdlah, Palestinian ambassador to the DPRK, hosted a reception at his embassy Tuesday evening on the occasion of the birthday of leader Kim Jong Il. He said in his speech that the publication of the historic North-South joint declaration under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il well showed the Korean people's will to reunify the country independently and peacefully without foreign interference. This aroused powerful support from the whole Korean nation and the world peace-loving people, he added.
    He declared that the Palestinian leadership and people are standing foursquare behind the Korean people in their struggle for achieving the independent and peaceful reunification of the country under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.
    Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, recalled in his speech that the Palestinian friends have presented a congratulatory letter and a floral basket to Kim Jong Il with deep reverence and hosted a gathering overflowing with friendly sentiments on the February holiday every year. This greatly inspires our army and people quickening the pace of march in the Songun revolution under the leadership of Kim Jong Il, he said.
    Noting that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries were constantly growing stronger even in the complex international situation today under the deep care of their leaders, he stated that the Korean people would as ever extend full support and solidarity to the Palestinian people in their just cause.

 

Floral Basket and Congratulatory Letter to Kim Jong Il

    Pyongyang, February 11, 2004 (KCNA) -- Leader Kim Jong Il received a floral basket and a congratulatory letter from the diplomatic corps here on the occasion of his birthday. They were conveyed to Foreign Minister Paek Nam Sun today by Palestinian Ambassador e.p. to the DPRK Shaher Mohammed Abdlah who is doyen of the corps.

 

Floral Basket to Kim Jong Il

    Pyongyang, February 11, 2004 (KCNA) -- Leader Kim Jong Il received a floral basket from Yasser Arafat, president of Palestine, on the occasion of his birthday. The floral basket was handed today to Foreign Minister Paek Nam Sun by Palestinian Ambassador E.P. to the DPRK Shaher Mohammed Abdlah.
