Anniversary of Revolutionary Schools in Pyongyang Marked
Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and Kang Pan Sok Revolutionary School marked their 65th anniversary.
The 65-year-long history of the revolutionary schools is associated with the wise leadership of the three commanders of Mt. Paektu and warm love shown by them. They founded the Juche-oriented idea and tradition of education of the bereaved children of the revolutionary martyrs and devoted their all to the work for bringing them up to be successors to the revolutionary cause.

A meeting for celebrating the anniversary of the schools took place at the April 25 House of Culture on Oct. 12.
Present there were senior party, state and army officials including Choe Yong Rim, Choe Ryong Hae, Hyon Yong Chol and Kim Kyong Hui, anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters, teaching staff and cadets of the revolutionary schools and their graduates.
The letter sent by Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Marshal Kim Jong Un "Children of Revolutionary Martyrs Should Become Dependable Backbone of Songun Revolution that Gives Steady Continuity to Bloodline of Mangyongdae, Bloodline of Mt. Paektu" was conveyed at the meeting.
Kim Jong Un sent this letter to the teaching staff and cadets of the revolutionary schools on the 65th anniversary of the schools.
Resolutions were expressed at the meeting.
O Ryong Thaek, principal of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School, and other speakers said that the letter serves as important guidelines to be held fast to in the education of the children of the revolutionary martyrs at present when the work to carry out the revolutionary cause of Juche has entered a new historical phase.
It also serves as a militant banner encouraging the struggle for the final victory of the great Paektusan power, they noted.
There are many children whose revolutionary parents laid down their lives in the struggle for the liberation, freedom and independence, prosperity and development of their countries and nations in the world, but the world knows no such bereaved children as those of Songun Korea who lead the most worthwhile and fruitful life under deep care of the great leaders and great party, the speakers stressed.
They renewed their pledge to take the lead in the sacred struggle to carry forward and accomplish the Juche revolutionary cause, Songun revolutionary cause started on Mt. Paektu in hearty response to the historic letter.
